Hello Friends

As you many of you know, we closed our doors on September 30th, 2020 due to the challenges created by COVID. This was a heart-wrenching decision and not the way we ever envisioned having to end the wonderful community that was created over 32 years within the four walls of Yang's Fitness Center & Martial Arts.

The hardest part has been missing all of our members and staff, many who have become friends. At the moment, re-opening the gym is not in our horizons but re-opening our martial arts business (similar to the earlier years) is a real possibility. Ideally, a 1,500 to 3,000 square foot space in Andover is what we are seeking to officially launch Yang's Martial Arts "2.0".

Until we find our ideal space, we are happy to announce Beginner's Tai Chi classes will be offered in a temporary location in downtown Andover. We will be meeting at 34 Park St., inside Andover Fit Body Boot Camp.

The past several months has given us time to reflect on the impact our organization made to this community and we are ready and energized to return to what we do best!

A big thank you to everyone who expressed their concerns for us and for the stories of how Yang's made a difference in your lives. We will eternally be grateful to each of you.

Stay tuned for more to come!

Warm regards, Alex, Diana & Zipper Kiesel

About Yang's Martial Arts (Andover)

Established 1988

The Andover branch of Yang's Martial Arts Association (Yang's Andover) was formed in 1988 and has been offering quality instruction in traditional Chinese martial arts.

Yang's Andover was established by Alex Kiesel, one of Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming's first disciples. Mr. Kiesel begin his Martial Arts training 1978 in Kenpo Karate then in 1982 begin studying under Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming. After achieving Instructor level in 1986 under Dr. Yang, Mr. Kiesel open his first location on Haverhill Street (Rte. 133) in Andover, MA.

Over the years, Yang's Andover expanded its programing and locations. On September 30, 2020, Yang's Andover closed due to the insurmountable challenges created by COVID.

We are pleased to announce our programs will be offered in temporary location at 34 Park Street, Andover inside Andover Fitbody Bootcamp.

Our goal is to eventually find a 1,500 to 3,000 SF home to call our own again soon!
