Qigong/Chi Kung

Qigong (Chi Kung) can be described as a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, sound, and focused intent.

Qigong is incorporated in our Tai Chi classes.

Intro. to Basic Qigong Theory & Practice

Workshop will cover:

  • An introduction to basic Qigong Theory

  • Buddhist versus Taoist breathing.

  • Four Gates breathing theory and practice

  • Putting theory into action with YMAA’s Primary Qi Gong routine.

Qigong Ball Workshop

Qigong Ball benefits:

  • excellent qigong practice

  • teaches proper Taiji movement

  • tones and conditions tendons

  • unifies the entire body


The workshop will cover:
1. What are the Ball and Ruler And benefits of each .
2. The Vertical Circle within Taiji Ball practice.
3. Stationary and Moving, changing directions without losing momentum, ie. Continual flow practice.
