The 8 stances that appear in the YMAA version of the Yang-style Taiji Long Form (108 Form):

  • Mabu (馬步)

  • Horse Stance Deng Shen Bu (登山步)

  • Mountain Climbing Stance Si Liu Bu (四六步)

  • Four Six Stance Xu Bu (虛步)

  • False Stance Jin Ji Du Li (金雞獨立)

  • Golden Rooster Stance Fu Hu Bu (伏虎步)

  • Tame the Tiger Stance Qi Lin Bu (麒麟步)

  • Unicorn Stance (similar to transition)

  • Tun Bu (吞步) - Swallow Stance

Performer is Michelle Lin.

Michelle started her training at YMAA Andover as a teenager, She became the only female student to be accepted in the 5-year training program at the YMAA Retreat Center. She trained Shaolin and Taijiquan full-time under renowned martial arts teacher and author, Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming. Michelle graduated in June 2018 and committed herself to the arts as a disciple of Dr. Yang.
