White Crane Soft Qigong

Workshop

No experience required.

White Crane Soft Qigong is a gentle exercise that imitates the movements of the white crane bird. These movements benefit your waist, spine, chest, and lungs for your best fall health.

 

Learn a classic routine for your best daily health.

 

  • - Learn a relaxing 20-minute daily routine.

  • - Build your Qi (energy) and boost your immunity.

  • - Deepen your Qigong practice with Chinese medicine meridians.

  • - Discover ways to enhance your daily routine with rocking and stepping

Date: Saturday, Sept. 26

Time: 1:45 to 3:15 PM (90 minutes)

Tai Chi Sword
Workshop

A progressive workshop series held over 6 months.
Tai Chi experience is required.

Tai Chi Sword is practiced to cultivate higher levels of Qi. Students will be introduced to the classical Yang Style Tai Chi Sword form, which consists of 54 movements flowing gracefully from one to the next.

 

To ensure high-quality instruction, the group is limited to 10 students. 
 

In this series, you will:

  - Learn 5-10 movements each session.
  - Understand the meaning behind each sword technique.
  - Sharpen your mental focus and concentration.
  - Enhance your Qi flow and body circulation for better health.

Workshop Details:

 

  • Instructor: Kathy Yang

  • First Workshop: Saturday, Sept. 26. Remaining dates: (10/17, 11/14, 12/5, 1/9, and 2/6) 

  • Time: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM (90 minutes)

  • Location: 18 Red Spring Rd., Andover (inside Andover Fit Body Boot Camp)

About Kathy Yang

Kathy began training Taijiquan and Qigong at age six under her father, Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming. A multiple-time Grand Champion in both internal and external martial arts, she has competed successfully in major U.S. tournaments.

She holds an M.Sc. in Chinese Medicine (First Class Honors), a B.Sc. in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Clinical Exercise Physiology, and a Bachelor of Medicine from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. Kathy has taught at the New England School of Acupuncture (MCPHS University). She has conducted clinical work and research at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital and Dong Fang Hospital in Beijing.

She currently teaches workshops and offers consultations in Chinese Medicine across the United States, South America, and Europe, with a focus on mind-body health, aging, and hormones.
